Self Sign Up and Auto Approval

This option is visible only if this feature is not disabled in the Settings. Typically this feature is not used by most customers since they do not want users to sign up on their own.

Click on 'Sign up” on top left, fill in the details and submit

 

  • The admins will receive an email notification.

  • Only a Super Admin can approve your user account, and assign roles and privileges.

  • Once approved or rejected, you will receive an email with the login information and how to set up the password.

Auto approval

In V9.1 onwards, the auto-approve user feature has been introduced. With this feature, users who have signed up can be automatically approved with a predefined user role.

This is useful to provide access to researcher users to give access to catalogs.

Login as Super admin → Settings

Auto Approve Users

Enable automatic approval of new user signup requests.

  • Enabled 

  • Disabled

If Disabled accounts have to be approved manually by Super Admins

Default Signup Institute

Default institute to be assigned to the new user.

 

It should be an existing Institute. 

Default Signup User Role

Default role to assign.
