Share queries

Create a Query Folder

Folders can be used for two reasons:

  1. Logically organize queries (e.g. admin queries, billing queries, etc)

  2. Share queries with others,

From v10.3 onwards:

  1. Super admins can view all queries across the system.

  2. Institute admins can view all queries of their institute.

  3. Other users can view their own queries and those shared with them.

Sharing Folders

To share queries, you must first assign queries to the folder. One query can be part of multiple folders. You can share folders with other users by following the steps below:

  1. Select one or more queries

 2.  Click on Assign → Create New Folder

3. Specify the folder name and select users or user groups to share.

From v10.3 onwards,

  1. User can share queries with ‘All current and Future users’

  2. ‘Allow edits by shared users’ allows users to add and edit queries in the folder.

4. Click on the Create button. The folder will now be visible under the 'My folder' section.

Remove queries from a Folder

  1. Click on the Edit icon beside the query folder.

  2. A list of all the queries in the folder will be displayed in the pop-up window.

3. Click on the delete button beside the query. This will remove the query from the folder.

Delete folder

Users are allowed to delete

  1. Own folders

  2. Shared with edit rights

Navigate to the query list page and click on the edit button beside the query folder name under 'My folders'.

Deleting a folder will not delete the queries present in them, users would have to specifically delete the queries when needed.
