Catalog: Researcher View
Researchers reach biobanks when they need biospecimens with similar traits for their studies. For example, user require blood samples extracted from 'Caucasian' males 50–60 years old who have smoked for ten years or more.
The ability to seek a specific collection of biospecimens is critical for any biobanking database. Using Specimen Catalog, the researchers can request specimens. Based on the availability and screening of specimens, request managers can approve and distribute the requested specimens.
The Specimen Request Form includes two default fields that cannot be removed or renamed.
a. Requestor: This is a User Dropdown field that appears for private catalogs and automatically populates with the logged-in user when making a request.
OR
b. Requestor Email ID: A free text field applicable only for public catalogs.IRB ID or Ethics ID: This field varies depending on the Locale setting. The IRB ID field is optional and may be left blank. For further details, please refer to the page.
