Catalog: Configurable Views

Catalog configuration allows users (admins) to choose the views of the Dashboard, Catalog, Cart, and Request they would like to expose to the researchers.

Please note that it is not possible to configure the text displayed on the default buttons on the any pages in the applicaiton.

For example, ‘View Catalog’, ‘Request Specimens’, ‘Contact Us’ etc cannot be changed.

The following configurations are supported.

Dashboard

To display a visual dashboard with graphs and numbers.

Catalog

To display data of a query results as part of the catalog (with live filters, results views etc)

Request Cart

Add “add to cart” button to the catalog

Request Form

Add a request form to the catalog

You can individually turn these options ON and OFF in a catalog. For example, you can do the following:

  1. Dashboard only catalog

  2. Dashboard and Request form catalog

  3. Dashboard, Catalog, and Request form catalog

  4. Dashboard, Catalog, Cart, and Request

  5. Catalog only

  6. Catalog and Request form catalog

  7. Catalog, Cart, and Request form catalog

  8. Request form only catalog

Steps to configure the views

Navigate to the Catalog add/edit page and enable the relevant checkboxes based on yoru catalog needs.

If you uncheck the ‘Catalog’ display option, the ‘Review Cart’ option also gets marked as unchecked by default.

Review Cart

All default fields should be visible on the Catalog add/edit page. For default field information, refer to the Managing Catalogsarchived page.

Catalog, Column, Filters, Search option for columns and filters, add to cart on the selection of samples, cart.

If you check the ‘Review Cart’ option, the ‘Catalog’ and ‘Request Form’ checkboxes will be defaulted to check.

If you uncheck the ‘Review Cart’ option, the ‘Catalog’ and ‘Request Form’ checkboxes will not get marked as unchecked by default. You will need to do it manually.

Request Form

The request looks like the one below, without any specimen details.

If you uncheck the ‘Request Form,’ display option, the ‘Review Cart’ also gets marked as unchecked by default.

Please submit a request for the Catalog, Column, Filters, and Search options for columns and filters.
