How to set abbreviations?

Abbreviations can be set for many dropdown values which can be used for auto-generating specimen labels. Only super admins can modify these values:

For more information on label auto generation, refer to Labels Configuration.

Below are the fields for which abbreviations can be set:

  • Specimen Type
  • Pathological Status
  • Clinical Status

To change the default abbreviations: 

  1. Go to home page

  2. Click on ‘Extras’ card

  3. Click on ‘Dropdown Manager’ card

  4. Click on ‘Specimen Type’

  5. Click on any of the dropdown value

  6. Click on ‘Edit’ button

  7. Add ‘abbreviation’ under property name field and add the abbreviation value and click on ‘Update’
