You have the option to create a catalog that is either accessible without requiring a login or one that necessitates user authentication before accessing the catalog.

This is decided based on the field ‘Requires Login?’ while setting up the catalog

If OpenSpecimen access is limited to users connected through the university or organization VPN, you will need to reach out to your IT team to request public access for the catalog URL.

Private Catalog Access

When setting up a private catalog, you have the option to limit access to specific user groups. By selecting ‘Requires Login?’ as ‘Yes’, a new field ‘User Groups’ will appear, listing all the user groups created within the application.
