Introduction

Currently, you can download the specimen cart report with a default set of columns. But most of the biobanks may want to include different columns or the custom fields to be included in the exported cart report. From v5.1, OpenSpecimen allows you to configure the columns in the CSV file export of the 'Specimen Cart'. This is configured at the system level settings via a "saved query".

Step 1: Create a Query

Create a saved query with columns that you want to be displayed in the cart report.

Click here to view the steps...
  1. Login as super admin user and navigate to ‘Queries’
  2. Create a query, add filters and define desired columns.
  3. Ensure that you include the "Specimen Cart" field in the query results view.
  4. Refer wiki page to create a new query
  5. Save the query and note the identifier of the query

Note this feature won't work unless you include the "specimen cart name" in the results view.

Step 2: Configure the Query

  1. As a super admin, go to home page and click on ‘Settings’ card
  2. Click on ‘Common’ module or search for the property ‘Cart Specimens Report’
  3. Click on the property ‘Cart Specimens Report’ and set the identifier of the saved query under ‘New Value’ field and click on ‘Update’ button

Step 3: Download Report

  1. Go to the specimen carts list page and click on the cart whose report has to be exported
  2. Select the specimens from a list whose details has to be exported (supported from v5.1)
  3. Click on ‘More’ button and select ‘Download Report’ to export the cart specimens report

  4. Check the columns from the exported file. It should be the same as columns defined in the query
