OpenSpecimen supports generating an ‘Empty Position Report’. This report contains details of each position available to store specimens within the selected container. Note: Any position where specimen is stored or is blocked are not part of this report.

Navigate to container → Overview page → Export

Name | Unique name of container | Barcode | Barcode of the container where empty position is identified | Container Display name | Name of the container set by user for ease of accessibility | Container Hierarchy | Hierarchy of container E.g., Freezer → Rack → Box | Container type | if any container type is defined during creation, it is mentioned in this column | Stores Specimen | Denotes if specimen can be stored in the specific position | Row | The row number of the empty containers. | Column | The column number of the empty containers. | Position | The position number of empty containers. |
