Overview

A Collection Protocol (CP) is a guideline or SOP for what, how, and when biospecimens are collected for a study. 

There should be at least one CP to start collecting specimens.

OpenSpecimen has more fields than I need. Can it be customized?

Yes. We can add or remove fields based on local data collection needs. Please get in touch with your system administrator.

We do not collect participant information. How can we use OpenSpecimen?

Open Specimen v4.0 supports specimen-centric studies.  In these studies, participant information is not required.   Click here for more information.
