OpenSpecimen allows users to add existing participants to another protocol using EMPI or . You can use any of the below fields to uniquely identify a participant:

  1. eMPI

  2. MRN + MRN site

PPID is de-identified patient identifier within a collection protocol, and thus it does not uniquely identify a participant across the system.

E.g., Register a participant having eMPI ‘MPI18415’ ‘110231’ (already present in CP ‘KCP’‘Skin Cancer Study’) to another CP ‘SPW1’Follow the steps‘Lung Cancer Research Study1’.

  • Select 'Participant Registrations’ from the 'Select Records Type' dropdown and download the template file from UI.
