Primary Specimen
Planned Specimen
Steps: To add/edit specimens.
‘Visits’ Tab → Click on visit → swipe Swipe right to the ‘Specimens’ tab → Click on the 'EDTA Whole Blood ' (specimen ‘Specimen type/specimen name) on the ‘Specimens’ list view page' (e.g. EDTA Whole Blood’).
The 'Add Specimen' page will appear, as shown below. Once done with Do the data entry, click on the ‘SAVE’ option to save the data. Once you save the data is saved, the mobile application will redirect to the specimen overview page.

Unplanned Specimen
Steps: To add/edit specimens.
‘Visits’ Tab → Click on visit → swipe Swipe right to the ‘Specimens’ tab → Click on the ' + ' sign on the ‘Specimens’ list view page.
The 'Add Specimen' page will appear, as shown below. Once done with Do the data entry, click on the ‘SAVE’ option to save the data. Once you save the data is saved, the mobile application will redirect to the specimen overview page.

Note: Pending The pending and collected specimens appear with a yellow color dot, the collected specimens appear with a yellow and green color dot respectively as shown below.

Child Specimen

Steps: To add/edit specimens.
To collect derivative: ‘Specimens’ Tab → Click on primary specimen → Swipe right to the ‘Children’ tab → Click on the 'Derived EDTA Plasma' (specimen Specimen type/specimen name' (Derived EDTA Plasma) on the ‘Children’ list view page.

You can click on the aliquot from the 'Children' list page once the derivative is collected.

Unplanned Specimen
Steps: To add/edit specimens.
To collect derivative: ‘Specimens’ Tab → Click on the primary specimen, → Click on three dots at the right-hand side, → Click on ‘Create Derivative.’

To collect aliquots: ‘Specimens’ Tab → Click on the primary specimen, → Click on three dots at the right-hand side → Select ‘Create Aliquots’Aliquots.’

Multiple Specimen Collection
Steps: To add/edit specimens.
‘Specimens’ Tab → Click on Primary specimen (collected) → Swipe right to the ‘Children’ tab → Select multiple Click on ‘Aliquot' by long pressing on them (specimen type/specimen name) on the ‘Children’ list view page → Provide the number of aliquots you wish to collect in the ‘Count' field → Click on the 'Collect’ button at the upper right-hand side as shown below.

Once done with data entry, click on the ‘SAVE’ option to save the data. ‘SAVE.’

Once you save the data, the mobile application will redirect the specimen (Children) list page.
Collect Specimen By Scanning Barcode
You can collect a specimen by scanning a barcode of a particular participant.
Collection Protocol → Click on participant → Click on visit → Slide to specimen tab → Click on the ‘+' sign or planned specimen → Click on the camera icon beside the ‘Name’ field→ scan the barcode → Click on 'SAVE.’

You can search for a specimen by scanning the barcode too.
