Whenever, specimens are utilized or staff blocks some places but never utilize them, many empty positions are present in the containers. OpenSpecimen supports generating "Defragmentation report" which suggests available positions to consolidate containers. 

Once the physical movement of the specimens is completed, the same report can be imported back using the "Specimen" CSV import template as an 'Update' operation.
