Bulk edit/delete participants via UI

This feature allows editing/deleting multiple participants via UI from the participant list page.

Edit Participants

This feature can be used to update the core fields and registration level custom fields.

  1. Select the participants and click on 'Edit'

  2. Click on the ‘Select Field’ dropdown and choose the field.

  3. Enter the value for the field

  4. If you want to clear the old value of the field or set it to blank, keep the field value empty.

  5. Click on update

  6. Click ‘Yes’ to confirm clearing of the previous values of the field

    Note:

    The registration level custom fields also appear in the ‘Select Field’ dropdown where you can select the custom field and update it

Delete Participants

Here’s what happens when a participant is deleted from OpenSpecimen (via the user interface or bulk import):

  • The participant is no longer visible in OpenSpecimen.

  • The participant cannot be searched or queried.

  • Deleted participant details can still be retrieved from the Audit Records.

  1. Select participant and click on ‘Delete’

  2. Specify the reason for deletion of participants and click on 'Yes'

  3. A report of the deleted participants is sent via email
