How to delink participants registered to multiple CPs?

OpenSpecimen supports registering the same participant to multiple CPs. Sometimes, you might register the wrong participant and then have to delink them into two individual participants.

E.g., P1 is registered to CP1 and CP2. You want to delink P1 from CP2 and create a new participant, P2, in CP2.

If the participant has no visits & specimens collected?

1. Delete Participant P1 from CP2 (Click on the Delete button)

If the participant has visits & specimens collected?

1. Rename the PPID of the participant P1 (if you want to assign the same PPID to the new participant)

2. Register new participant in CP2 (say P2) with the same PPID

3. If you have participant-level forms or consents data collected for P1, you have to manually recreate them for P2.

4. Move any visit from P1 to P2. (For details, refer:https://openspecimen.atlassian.net/wiki/x/DYBNGw )

5. Delete Participant P1 from CP2

Notes:

1. To delete, your role should have the ‘Delete’ privilege.

2. You cannot rename the PPID if auto-generation is enabled for the CP. First, remove the PPID label format, then do steps 1 and 2, and restore the label format in CP settings.
