How can you export and import participant deID data?

Use case 1: You are a researcher who often needs to share participant data with external collaborators or analysts without exposing sensitive information.

Use case 2: If you have no PHI access, and you need to update fields like demographics, custom form data, etc.

If you do not have access to PHI data, you can export or import de-identified (DeID) participant data in the following ways:

Via user roles:

To be able to export/import data from the collection protocol. Your user role should have:

the participant “read” access to the participant’s deID,
“Exp/Imp” access to the participant’s PHI.

Via queries:

If you have access to the query resource, you can create and export query reports for the required data.
