Counting Specimens by Collection Protocol and Specimen Type

Suppose you want to get counts of specimens collected per collection protocol and specimen type.

Steps:

1. Create a New Query.

2. (Optional) Select a Collection Protocol if you want to limit the results to specific protocols.

3. Click View Records, then choose these columns:

   • Collection Protocol Short Title

   • Specimen Type

   • A unique specimen field to count (e.g., Specimen Label or Specimen Identifier)

4. Click Next to open the Aggregate pane.

5. Apply a count function to the specimen identifier selected in step 3.

6. Click Done.
