FAQ: Why custom fields do not appear when editing specimens in bulk from cart?
Custom fields are linked to a CP or CPG. However, when you are in a cart (or anywhere out of the CP), there is no context of a CP or CPG. I.e., a Cart can have specimens across multiple CPs or CPGs, which have different custom field configurations.
In such cases, it is best to use the CSV import to do bulk operations.
Download the specimen template from the CP
It will have the custom fields of that CP/CPG in the CSV.
Enter specimen label and only those fields which needs to be edited (leave others blank)
