How to disable OpenSpecimen domain?

OpenSpecimen is shipped with a default login domain named ‘openspecimen’. When a university SAML/LDAP login setup is in place, users should use their university login only. Therefore, disabling the openspecimen domain will help enforce this requirement.

Steps to disable the domain:

  1. Log into OpenSpecimen as a super administrator user

  2. Navigate to ‘Extras’-> 'Identity Providers'

  3. You will be navigated to the list of existing identity providers

  1. The field ‘Allow Logins’ controls the domain name list displayed on the login page

  2. If you set this to ‘No’, then the login page will not display this domain in the dropdown

  3. However, you will be allowed to create new users under this domain.
