Email Template (Messages Activity)

The Messages tab on the Participant Overview page allows users to track survey emails and text messages sent and received in OpenSpecimen.

Prerequisites

To track survey emails, OpenSpecimen must have the EDC plugin installed.

Sending and Tracking Emails

The Messages tab enables users to send newsletters to participants and track emails in the same tab. To activate the Send button, users must configure:

• An Email Template

• A Messaging Group in the Collection Protocol Settings

Configuration Steps

1. Set up the Email Template and Messaging Group.

2. Add users to the Messaging Group (only these users can send emails).

3. Navigate to the Participant Overview → Messages tab to send and track emails.
