Associate pre-barcoded tubes with OpenSpecimen kits

From v12.0, OpenSpecimen supports associating pre-barcoded tubes (2D barcodes/ QR codes) with the OpenSpecimen kits to efficiently use it with box scanners. Many labs stick to standard vials for most specimens but selectively use pre-barcoded tubes for certain specimen types, e.g. DNA, RNA.

Collection protocol settings

A new checkbox is added in the specimen requirements (SR) to specifically define which SR will have pre-barcoded tubes. The option is visible only if Specimen Barcoding is ‘Enabled’ in the label format settings.

The option is available for all specimen lineages (primary, derivatives, aliquots)
