v12.0 Release Notes
Introduction
We’re excited to announce that OpenSpecimen v12.0 is now available for download!
This release primarily focuses on usability improvements, bug fixes reported by customers, and major enhancements to the Specimen Kits module. We have addressed several usability issues from v11.x, ensuring a smoother experience while introducing key upgrades for better specimen tracking and management.

Biospecimen Module
The collection protocol module user interface is modified in VueJS
The participant and specimen statistics will now be shown on demand which will reduce the time taken for the CP list page to load
The left panel on the participant/visit/specimen pages is now removed.
A filter is added on the forms record page to filter out records added for a particular form.
Specimen Kits (Supplies Module)

Specimen Kits: Utilize specimen kits across collection protocols with matching SR Codes
Ability to associate pre-barcoded tubes (2D barcodes/ QR codes) with the OpenSpecimen kits to efficiently use with box scanners
Ability to re-print the specimen kits
Ability to configure the workflows to receive partial kits

Workflows Plugin

New features:
Restricted Visibility: Workflows are now shown only to users with access, based on their user group configuration in tasks.
Bulk Edit Support: Users can now bulk edit specimen forms within a workflow task, streamlining data updates.
Improved UI: The workflow screen is now better organized with a cleaner layout:
No left panel → More workspace for the current task
Tasks displayed on demand → Click the progress bar to view tasks
The copy row button is present at the start so that the user does need not to scroll to the end.
