Update Collected Specimen To Correct Specimen Requirement.

When you collect specimens using the ‘Specimen Requirement’ specified in CP, you won't be able to update the specimen type from the UI, since it's linked to ‘Collection Protocol Specimen Requirement’.

To correct these, we have 2 options.

• Delete the incorrect specimen and re-create with the correct specimen type using specimen collection WF. In this case, the data for already entered for the specimen would not be retained, and the user needs to re-enter.

• If a specimen already has information present, and you would like to retain it, then, you can export the details and re-create the specimen.

Export and Re-create Specimen.

1. Access participant list-page, select 'Export'.

2. Select 'Specimen' from the dropdown and enter the specimen label, and export.

3. Delete exported specimen from UI.

4. In CP Settings, enable User Inputs for Specimen Labels or remove label format.
   Note: Not making #3 changes will assign the next sequence to the recreated specimen.

5. Edit exported CSV: remove the identifier column, correct specimen type, and save the file.

6. Import modified CSV as 'Specimen' with Import Type 'Create'.

7. New specimen with correct specimen type and previous info will be created under the same visit.
