Create/Edit Form Fields

 

Add Form fields

You can add any form field. For example: adding a textarea field for QC Notes to the form.

  1. Navigate to the form you want to add the field.

  2. Click on the Add Field button to add the field. Create a textarea field. See the screenshot below:

  1. Add the field name and save.

Edit Form Fields

You can edit any form field, for example, changing the display name or adding more options to enumerated fields like dropdown, radio button, etc.

  • Navigate to the form you want to edit.

  • Click on the 'Edit' icon for the particular field that you want to edit.

  • Make required changes and save.

Rearrange Fields

You can drag the fields by clicking on the six dots and dropping them to the required position.

Preview

You can preview the form by clicking on the ‘Preview’ button present on the form overview page.

Change Control Type

The fields below are for changing control types:

  1. Radio button -> dropdown and text field.

  2. Dropdown -> radio button and text field.

  3. Checkbox -> the multi-select dropdown.

  4. Multiselect dropdown -> the checkbox.

Steps to change the control type

  • Create a form with different controls.

  • Click on the change icon.

The icon will only appear for the radio button, dropdown, multi-select dropdown, and checkbox fields.

Display Fields on Same Row

Fields can be displayed on the same row.

  • Click on the checkbox 'Display on the same row as the last field'

  • To display the field in the same row as a field other than the previous field, first drag and drop the fields as required.

If you move a field that is part of fields in the same row, the line is broken. So you have to configure it again if you want it on the same line or a different one.

Delete Field

You can remove any form field that is no longer needed.

Once the field is deleted, the data entered for the field is also deleted.

  • Navigate to the form from which you want to delete the field.

  • Click on the ‘Delete’ icon for the particular field you want to delete.

  • Click on ‘Yes’ in the pop-up window to confirm the deletion.
