If you configure LDAP for OpenSpecimen authentication, you would need to migrate your existing users to LDAP users.

This can be done in bulk by importing a CSV or from UI.

Via Import CSV

The update for users is based on the email address of the user. To update the domain of multiple users from LDAP to nonto non-LDAP or vice-versa, follow the steps mentioned below.

Steps:

  1. Login to your Log in as a super admin to OpenSpecimen instance as super admin.
  2. Go to ‘Users→Import→Users’ and 'Users→Import→Users' and download the template file.
  3. Fill up the CSV file with the user's email address, LDAP login name, and the domain name to be updated. Refer to 'Update Users.'
  4. Upload the file in OpenSpecimen to bulk import
  5. This will update the user's domain to the new LDAP.

To create LDAP users in bulk, refer to 'Create/Update Users in Bulk' and  and make sure the login name and the domain name is are specified as per LDAP requirements.

Via UI

Go to the 'Users' list from the home page and open the user in edit mode for whom the LDAP has to be configured. Edit the login name to reflect LDAP login name and domain name should be specific LDAP domain name.
