Container types serve as templates to create different containers - Freezers, racks, boxes etc. Once the templates are configured for a particular type of freezer, whole freezer hierarchy can be created in one go.
type is a "template" to create a container. E.g. Freezer, Racks, Box, etc. It has basic details of the container which can be overridden during the actual container creation.
One of the most important use of container types is to create a whole hierarchy in a single click. For example, create a freezer with all its racks and its boxes.
