Freezer facilities frequently receive lists of boxes (containers) for storage and must then locate the appropriate space across their freezer units. This function facilitates this process based on user defined criteria.

E.g. Freezer facility receives a request 40 boxes (container type: 2 inch box). Freezer facility user needs to find space to store in racks reserved for collection protocol ‘LCPRP’.

Info

Pre-requisite: Selected container type to find places can be held by existing container types defined at ‘N-1’ level (where N = number of levels in hierarchy).

Reference: Container types - Can hold

This feature gives the best possible suggestion if

  1. All the containers in the system at ‘N-1’ level have defined container types

  2. All the containers in the system at ‘N-1’ level have defined collection protocols/ specimen type restrictions
